Favorite Things From My Wardrobe
One of the last books I read was called The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up by Marie Kondo. I essentially learned that keeping your place clean makes you a happier person. The key to keeping your place clean is letting go of the things that don't bring you joy. Of course this got me thinking about my favorite things from my wardrobe. I figured I'd share the things that help make me happy and keep me looking effortlessly cool.
Leather Biker Jacket
Leather jackets just make anything you wear look cooler from a t-shirt to a shirt and tie. Towards the end of college, I was always tired so I hated getting dressed in the morning. Throwing my biker jacket over a tee and jeans instantly made me look I made an effort in the getting ready.
My ray-bans were my first nice pair of sunglasses. I ended up going with the wayfarers, because they never go out of style and look great with everything. Just like my leather jacket, sunglasses just make you look cool.
Overcoat with Removable Fur Collar
I bought this coat during my study abroad trip to Florence. I love this coat because it's structured which gives it a slimming effect. The coat itself is already elegant, but the fur collar makes it that much more sophisticated. Every guy should have overcoat for those times when you want to look polished.
Triple White Ultra BoostsThese are super comfortable, but the main reason I love these shoes is because they make me feel like Pablo.
Suede Chelsea Boots
Chelsea boots are dope because they can be worn year-round. They also look great wether you dress them up or down. They're more sleek than hiking boots, so when you dress them down, you still look more refined which is key to effortless style.
White Button DownThe things most guys ask for my advice for is pairing their shirts and ties. The quickest fix is wearing a white shirt. That might be too boring for some, but white never fails when you don't know what to wear.
Nothing's more boss than a tuxedo jacket. It gives you that James Bond vibe, which everybody wants. I'm a bit of an attention whore and the most subtle way to draw attention is wearing a standout piece. Next time you're invited to a formal event that requires a coat and tie, throw on a tuxedo jacket and enjoy commanding the room.
By now I'm sure you've noticed that I love jackets. People say that it takes 3 pieces to create a look and I think jackets are that final piece that pulls a look together. Bombers are really on trend right now. Plus one's like mine are super cozy, which is why it's always in heavy rotation.
I wear fedoras a lot, because they add an it factor to an outfit that initially seems boring. Plus they're perfect for hiding the fact that you're due for a haircut.
